Sverre Sandberg is director of the Norwegian quality improvement of primary care laboratories (Noklus) (www.noklus.no and www.skup.nu), the Norwegian Diabetes Register for Adults, director of the Norwegian Porphyria Centre (NAPOS) (www.napos.no ), and is a professor at the University of Bergen. He has published more than 200 papers in peer reviewed journals. He is chair of the Scientific Committee and from 2014 president elect of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) and president of the European Organization for External Quality Assurance Providers in Laboratory Medicine (EQALM).
